Mission

01Mission and goals

The main objective of our foundation is to support contemporary artists and to improve the attractiveness of contemporary art careers. To achieve our goal, we create cooperation between the various social and economic participants.

Every year, the Lake Balaton Contemporary Art Residency, brings together new young talents and already successful, established contemporary artists, and provides them with all the conditions they need to work creatively.

Our activities include education and research, as well as helping contemporary artists develop their organisational, management and business management skills, thereby helping them become internationally recognised artists.

Local support for sustainable development is important to us, which is why we always adhere to the international Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by the United Nations Environment Programme in September 2015.

02Community role

Our Foundation uses its arts organisation and yearly community activities to address issues of significant public benefit, such as improving social integration, the quality of life and professional development opportunities of young people living in severely underprivileged situations, such as physical or mental disabilities or extreme poverty.

We shape and represent our community role around the following values:

Sustainability

Innovation

Tradition

Community development

Volunteering

03Being a Bridge

In order to achieve these goals, we work closely with the different sectors of society, including other foundations, local authorities and civil organisations, as well as socially responsible companies that value their active and genuine involvement in bettering society.
